Bai Jie, Male, Faculty Postdoctoral Position in School of Resources and Environment, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), born in Xing county, Shanxi Province. His research Interests are composed of hyperspectral LiDAR physical theory, LiDAR physics and models, Vegetation radiative transferring model, Global ecology evaluation, Vegetation parameter retrieval, among others. Recipient, (I) China Young LiDAR Scientist Award(II) Top 100 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations of Chinese Academy of Sciences(III) President’s Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, (IV) National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of China LiDAR Committee, (V) Second Prize of Natural Science Award of Beijing Science and Technology Award, (VI) "Best Reviewer" Award of JAG in 2024 & 2025.  PI. for National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for Young Scientists (Category C), Postdoctoral Fellowship Program of CPSF (Category B), China (one of only 6 recipients nationwide in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Open Fund of State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, China and so on, 7 research projects as principal investigator in total. He published 20 SCI papers in total, including papers in Remote Sensing of Environment (2),ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (1),IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (3), International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation (1) as first author, and also in RSE, CEE, IEEE TGRS, CEA, Proceedings B, and so on as co-author. He is also a key researcher member in Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, General Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China (2 projects), Key Deployment Project, Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Besides, Member of the LiDAR Committee of the China National Committee of the International Society for Digital Earth, Young Scientists Working Committee of the China National Committee of the International Society for Digital Earth; Youth Editorial Board Member, Plant Phenomics (SCI Q1); Guest Editor, Remote Sensing; Convener and Session Chair for multiple national remote sensing academic conferences, also Invited reviewer for 16 SCI journals including RSE, JAG, IEEE TGRS, Plant Phenomics, as well as Journal of Remote Sensing (JRS) and Journal of Radars.

His Ph. D. Mentor is Prof. Niu Zheng in Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Their Philosophy of Supervision: Mutual respect, open management, and encouragement-oriented education.
