Leyuan Liu, Ph.D., is an Associate Research Fellow at the School of Information and Software Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Information Security from UESTC, and earned his Ph.D. degree from Kyushu University, Japan, in 2014. Since 2017, he has been with UESTC as a faculty member.
His research focuses on information content security and Web3 financial security, with particular attention to misinformation detection and propagation analysis, as well as risk modeling and fraud/AML analytics in blockchain ecosystems. He has led and contributed to more than ten national- and provincial-level research projects, including key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and major provincial projects on information security and integrated circuits in Sichuan Province. Over the past five years, he has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers, including 7 as first or corresponding author in top-tier venues (e.g., CAS Q1/CCF-A), and 12 in CAS Q2/CCF-B or above.
