Personal Profile

Xiaochen Tang, Full Professor, Doctoral supervisor, with research areas in analog/mixed-signal/digital integrated circuit design, specifically focusing on smart healthcare, physiological signal sensing front-end chips, analog front-end chips, and lightweight artificial intelligence chip design, etc. He was a postdoctoral scholar at Texas A&M University mentored by Professor Roozbeh Jafari. Prior to UESTC, he joined the New Mexico State University as an assistant professor. As the technical lead, he has headed four projects funded by the National Science Foundation of the United States, with total research funding exceeding 1.1 million dollars. He has published over 30 papers in high-level journals and conferences in the field of integrated circuits, including flagship conferences in chip design like IEEE CICC and RFIC, and leading journals such as IEEE JSSC, TCAS-I, JETCAS, TBioCAS, TBME, TAI, etc. He serves as a committee member of the IEEE Flexible and Wearable Circuits and Systems Standards Committee and the UNIC-CASS Open Source General-Purpose Integrated Circuit Committee. He has also served as the session chair of the IEEE Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems Conference (IEEE AICAS), and as a technical committee member for the GLSVLSI international conference on integrated circuits. He has received research awards like the NMSU Merit-based Enhancement Award.
