Linlong Wu is currently a Professor at the School of Information and Communication Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He received his B.Eng. degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2014 and his Ph.D. degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2018. From 2018 to 2020, he worked as a Research Engineer in the Alibaba Cloud Wireless Networking Group, where he led the development of a commercial RFID positioning system. From 2020 to 2025, he conducted research at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), University of Luxembourg, serving as a Research Associate/Postdoctoral Researcher and later as a Research Scientist (with ADR/Habilitation).
His research interests span signal processing and optimization, intelligent waveform design, integrated sensing and communications (ISAC), and radar systems. He has authored over 70 academic papers, including 22 first/corresponding-author publications in IEEE Transactions journals. His work has accumulated more than 1,330 Google Scholar citations (as of October 2025) with an H-index of 18. His research has been consistently supported by multiple prestigious national and international funding agencies, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the European Research Council (ERC), the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC), and the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), etc.
Dr. Wu is a recipient of the URSI Young Scientist Award. A paper co-authored with his students was a finalist for the Best Student Paper Award at the 2025 IEEE Radar Conference. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing. He is also a member of the Synthetic Aperture Techniques Working Group within the IEEE SPS and holds the positions of Technical Committee Member for the Propagation Committee and Co-Chair of the Propagation Applications Subcommittee within the IEEE VTS. He has also served as session chair/TPC member for several international conferences, including IEEE ICASSP, VTC, and the IEEE Radar Conference, and regularly reviews for leading journals such as IEEE TSP, TAES, and TWC.
