Dr. Hua Yuan received his PhD degree in management science & engineering from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He is currently a Professor of Information System Management, Director of the Lab of Advanced E-commerce, at the School of Management & Economics, University of Electronic Science & Technology of China (UESTC).

His research interests are focused on machine learning & business intelligence, information technology management, digitalised markets & industrial (social) computing. His research has been published and presented at a number of computer science and information system conferences and journals. He is a member of AIS/CNAIS and SESC, a director of CNAIS (2015 -), and an executive director of the CNAIS (2017 -).

Dr, Yuan co-chaired the 2014 China Summer Workshop on Information Management (CSWIM 2014).
