Dr. Hua Yuan received his PhD degree in management science & engineering from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He is currently a Professor of Information System Management, Director of the Lab of Advanced E-commerce, and Associate Director of the Institute of Information Management & Electronic Commerce at the School of Management & Economics, University of Electronic Science & Technology of China (UESTC).

His research interests focus on Machine Learning & Business Intelligence, Information Technology Management, Digitalized Market, and Industrial (Social) Computing. His research has been published and presented at a number of computer science and information system conferences and journals. He is a member of AIS/CNAIS and SESC, a director of CNAIS (2015 -), and an executive director of the CNAIS (2017 -).

Dr, Yuan co-chaired the 2014 China Summer Workshop on Information Management (CSWIM 2014).
