Abstract:With the development of terahertz (THz) technology, there is a booming demand of THz shielding/absorption materials to avoid electromagnetic interference (EMI) or pollution. Here, we report on a series of THz absorption or shielding materials fabricated from 2D MXene nanosheets. By using simple dip-coating or spray-coating method, lightweight, flexible, thin, and hydrophobic absorption foam are obtained, which shows ultrahigh THz absorption property over 99.99% under the 100% qualified frequency bandwidth ranging from 0.3 to 1.65 THz. Our results indicate that the combination of 2D materials with porous polymer paves a way to achieving high performance THz absorber, which is of significance in electromagnetic interference shielding, 6G communications and beyond.
