I am a philosopher studying the effects of emerging digital technologies (particularly AI) on our society through a multicultural and transdisciplinary work with artists, designers, and engineers.
I am an Full Professor of Philosophy at AIHSS – University of Electronic Science And Technology of China (UESTC) and currently serve as President of the Society for Phenomenology and Media (USA). My leadership is reflected in my editorial roles with prominent international journals, which allow me to actively shape and influence the direction of research in field such as Associate Editor for the Nature journal: Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (AHCI, SSCI, SCI), Executive Editor for the International Journal of New Techno-Humanities (SCOPUS), Associate Editor responsible for overseeing submissions on “AI, robotics, and human-technology interaction” for the International Journal of Human-Technology Relations, and Associate Editor for Metaverse Journal (SCOPUS). I have over 60 publications and my works have been published in journals like NATURE Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences, Foundations of Science, and Human Studies. I have collaborated with distinguished scholars such as Rector Peter-Paul Verbeek and artists of the caliber of Stelarc. I am among the few in my field to have held academic positions across multiple countries, including Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Mexico, and China.
