Adam John Privitera (PhD, FPsyS) is a Full Professor at the Advanced Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Formerly, he was a Research Scientist in the Science of Learning in Education Centre, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He earned his PhD from the University of Hong Kong (Faculty of Education) specializing in cognitive science. Professor Privitera’s research focuses on the impact of differences in language experience on cognitive control and decision-making, as well as the application of findings from the cognitive and neural sciences to educational policy and practice. His work has been published in top-ranked academic journals including Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews, Higher Education, Bilingualism: Language and Cognition, and Applied Psycholinguistics. Professor Privitera also continues to present his work at top international conferences, including the annual meetings of the Psychonomic Society and the Cognitive Science Society. He is Associate Editor of Frontiers in Psychology (Q1 SSCI) and serves on the editorial boards of journals including Bilingualism: Language and Cognition and Trends in Neuroscience and Education.
