Prof. Chunru Wan has vast experience in research, development and teaching.  He possesses extensive expertise in underwater systems ranging from sensors (magnetic, acoustic, hydropressure, vector sensors), sonar signal processing (detection, estimation, tracking, classification), to ocean modeling and its applications in underwater systems.  His research areas cover signal processing, underwater acoustics (propagation and reverberation), ocean circulation modeling and its applications, communication, and parallel computing.   He has published more than 100 referred papers although a substantial amount of defense-related work which remains not publishable.  He is currently a professor in the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China under National talent program
