Z-X Chen was born in Fujian Province, Chinese. He obtained the Master degree and the Ph.D. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, both in communication and information system, in 2003 and 2009, respectively. His Ph.D. dissertation was focused on the wireless localization techniques in line of sight (LOS) and non-line of sight (NLOS) environments. The popularization of wireless localization has made large influence on people's life. However, large measurement errors, especially in NLOS environments, cause standard localization techniques to perform poorly in various complicated environments, and it urges the researchers to develop new methods to improve the location accuracy. Since 2009, he was a lecturer at the Department of Electronic Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Since 2012, he was an associate professor at the Department of EE, UESTC. From Oct. 2015 to Oct. 2016, he was a visiting scholar at Prof.Dominic Ho's Lab under the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Missouri supported by China Scholar Council.
