The theoretical computer science group in UESTC was established in 2020 directed by Bakhadyr Khoussainov. This group conducts research on many areas in theoretical computer science and mathematics, with a primary focus on logic, algorithms, computational complexity, mechanism design, algorithmic game theory and so on. Our research also involves other disciplines related to applications such as algorithm engineering, experimental algorithms and computational economics.

Our group is committed to carrying out high-level research and solving core problems in theoretical computer science. We published a large number of papers in top conferences journals, including STOC, SODA, LICS, AAAI, IJCAI, Information & Computation, JCSS, and so on. We won the best paper on STOC 2017.

We encourage students to join in our group. We have a team of both graduate and undergraduate students, who are active in academic fields and CS-related competitions. Most undergraduates managed to publish their first top paper in our group.
